Packing Crate for a Lighthouse - Christchurch, New Zealand
The house consists of glass cubes surrounded by wooden slats. During the day, it appears solid, but at night transforming to the Lighthouse.
The elegance of form was thoroughly investigated, with particular attention paid to proportion, ultimately resulting in a finely tuned building that embraces both aesthetics and functionality. Poetry of solid verses unfolds as light plays out gracefully from day to night. Simple shutters elegantly open and close, allowing the volumes to give a sense of further personal expression and vibrant energy. The interaction between light and shadow creates a dynamic atmosphere, enriching the experience of the space.
